The interior palette is intentionally restrained, allowing warm grays, soft beiges, and light wood tones to define the atmosphere. This low-saturation color scheme creates a calm and welcoming environment while providing a timeless backdrop for everyday living. Expansive surfaces finished with textured mineral paint introduce subtle tactile depth, while warm wood flooring extends throughout the residence, creating a natural dialogue between materials. As daylight shifts across the interior, these layers reveal changing patterns of light and shadow that enrich the spatial experience.
To balance the softness of the palette, carefully selected black metal elements, dark-toned countertops, and refined metal detailing are incorporated throughout the design. These cooler materials introduce a sense of structure and visual stability, serving as subtle focal points that anchor the space. The result is an environment that combines warmth and comfort with a clear, contemporary framework that reflects the homeowners’ individual character.
Despite having only 49.58 square meters of space, the project prioritizes openness and connectivity by eliminating unnecessary solid partitions and embracing a more fluid spatial arrangement. The living room, dining area, and study are unified into a continuous environment, maximizing the home’s most important functions: comfortable coexistence between people and pets, as well as efficient storage solutions.
One of the most distinctive achievements of the project lies in its ability to seamlessly integrate the needs of homeowners, their pets, and their professional identities into a unified design language.
At the entryway, a custom pegboard system responds directly to the homeowner’s habit of organizing tools and equipment, transforming everyday storage into a feature that reflects both practicality and personal identity. Throughout the public areas, pet-friendly elements such as climbing structures, scratching surfaces, and elevated pathways are thoughtfully integrated into the cabinetry and architectural framework rather than treated as separate additions.
By embedding these features into the overall design language, the home accommodates the natural movement patterns of the resident cats while maintaining visual cohesion and architectural elegance. This approach not only provides a safe and engaging environment for the pets but also ensures that the shared living space remains organized, harmonious, and aesthetically refined.
