Responding to the spatial development framework of "One Core, Two Zones, One Ring & Two Corridors" for the Guangming District, this project adopts a planning structure of "One Axis + Two Loops + Three Clusters" to form a comprehensive framework supporting a 5-minute life circle. The design integrates the Honghuashan Ecological Landscape Axis into the compound. Five towers are arranged in an enclosing layout to create a dual-loop system consisting of an external community living ring and an internal residential compound ring. The ground floor consolidates three functional clusters: public services, all-age amenities and social services, enabling seamless integration with the surrounding urban fabric.
In terms of spatial strategy, the scheme delivers a "spatial revolution" for traditional downtown blocks. Drawing on the ancient Lingnan settlement wisdom of "alleys & courtyards", the design elevates conventional ground-level amenities vertically to build an ultra three-dimensional space, delivering a one-of-a-kind elevated living experience infused with refined everyday vitality. The homecoming journey unfolds across six progressive sequences:
Triumph Gateway Boasting Guangming’s first ceremonial entrance gate standing roughly 10 meters tall. It draws inspiration from the classical colonnade aesthetics of Château de la Croix des Gardes in Saint-Tropez, with modern curved corners reinterpreting formal entrance hierarchy. Low-carbon, durable materials including Andes Snow Stone are adopted to craft a distinctive preamble of homecoming marked by a strong sense of territoriality and cultural identity.
Light Infusion Hall An arched dome lobby with a soaring ceiling height of approximately 9.4 meters. Its silhouette unfolds gracefully like swan wings. Natural diffused daylight filters through the dome to cut artificial lighting consumption, shielding residents from urban hustle and cultivating inner tranquility.
Mediterranean Garden Passage A 280-meter-long southern French Mediterranean botanical landscape. Drought-tolerant, low-maintenance plants such as olive trees and lavender are selected to form a fully immersive mental buffer zone that curtails long-term irrigation costs, turning the commute home into a mini retreat.
Circular Drop-off Court A 100-square-meter circular vehicle drop-off lobby. The streamlined loop optimizes vehicle circulation and reduces idling emissions. Soft glow from the dome illuminates premium stone textures, lending dignity and serenity to parking experiences.
