The stage design for the Joker Xue “King of the Beasts” Tour adopts the "Beast Cage" as its core creative metaphor, transforming the entire performance space into an evolutionary allegory of captivity, struggle, awakening, and redemption that embodies the work’s narrative core. Relying on heavy metal structures, a circular LED screen, and multiple sets of lifting and rotating mechanical systems, the stage constructs an oppressive and primitive visual cage. Naturally growing lawns encircle the stage to create an immersive wild ecosystem, forcing the confined industrial structures and vibrant natural forces into a powerful visual confrontation and fusion that establishes a theatrical context where shackles and rebirth coexist.
To guarantee a fluid and uninterrupted performance rhythm for this ultra-dimensional, four-sided arena stage, the design scheme integrates the entire mechanical apparatus, large-scale props, and artist dressing spaces beneath the stage floor through highly optimized spatial layout and traffic flow design. The stage undergoes continuous dynamic transformations throughout the show. Lifting platforms and large suspended stages constantly reconfigure the spatial layout through multi-dimensional reordering of heights and levels, delivering an ultimate, shocking three-dimensional visual experience to the audience.
Technically pioneering, the stage is equipped with a custom 64×5-meter ultra-specification mechanical flipping screen capable of completing a seamless integration between screen and floor, utilizing the visual symbol of "breaking the cage" to interpret the awakening theme of breaking free from constraints and achieving self-breakthrough. Furthermore, combining equipment such as wire-flying platforms and perimeter camera crane arms shatters the limitations of traditional staging, achieving full-domain fluidity and three-dimensional interaction for the artist across the stage, in the air, and within the audience seating, constructing an immersive and boundaryless performance space. Driven by the dynamic metamorphosis of the stage morphology, the design elevates from a literal physical cage into a profound humanitarian expression, conveying the original creative intention of rejecting exploitation, respecting all living things, and protecting the ecosystem.
