I. Overview
Zhongnanhai™ 8mg targets young consumers born around the year 2000, who seek premium quality and individual expression at the RMB 15 price point. The design embraces minimalism, using generous white space and restrained visual language to turn an everyday item into an attitude carrier.
II. Visual System
Black – For young consumers, black means “cool.” It is a perfect protective colour that embraces everything. The concept echoes: “I love clean white, but I prefer being black.”
Less is more – Large black areas leave room for imagination, giving interpretation back to the user and avoiding didacticism – resonating with the young generation’s rejection of passive acceptance.
Red line – A single fine red line cuts across the dark field, breaking monotony and injecting energy. Red and black are a classic pairing in fashion; red symbolises passion, vitality, and life, while also refining the overall look.
III. Unboxing Experience
Opening the pack reveals a rose gold inner frame – a striking contrast: black exterior, luxurious inner frame, and pure white cigarettes. Beneath the minimalist surface hides a completely different inner world – the unity of simplicity and explosion.
IV. Craftsmanship
• Base colour: black gravure printing, matte finish.
• Brand information: black foil stamping for key text; Chinese characters embossed for tactile depth.
• Red line: red gold foil stamping, sharp and precise.
• Warning and side information: silver grey spot colour gravure, preserving restraint and sophistication.
