YY2 Library Interior Design

A. Design Style:

A modern style that integrates the elegance of Taoism, creating a brand new library.

B. Design Concept

i. Arc Design:

The curved light strips on the ceiling are arranged like ripples from a stone thrown into water, symbolizing layers of creative ideas, with the hope that students will have an expanding impact on the world.

ii. Vitality and Aesthetics:

The arrangement of glass windows and the views of plants enhance the visual layers, symbolizing vitality and providing healing amidst a busy school life. This design also raises health awareness and nurtures aesthetic appreciation.

iii. Yin-Yang Imagery:

The color scheme divides the library into two areas. The main area uses gray and white, emphasizing independent thought, while the secondary area employs various colors, providing a relaxed and bold space that encourages students to explore the world.

C. Facilities:

Reception Area

Book Collection Area

Resting and Reading Zone

These design elements work together to create a high-quality space that stimulates creativity and offers a comfortable reading experience.

D. Library Exterior:

The design of the exterior aligns with the interior style, using light strips and a Tai Chi diagram to add Taoist elements and incorporating an electronic TV display for the easy showcasing of activities and information.

The new YY2 library encourages student engagement in reading, integrating Taoist elements to promote knowledge and holistic development while breaking the traditional "stuffy" image of libraries, allowing more students to enjoy the pleasure of reading.

These design philosophies aim to create a learning space where modernity coexists with Taoist elements, facilitating comprehensive student development.
