Product description:

As a designer, I have always adhered to the core concept of "connect-ing the past and the present," seeking balance in the collision be-tween tradition and modernity. Faced with this dilapidated old build-ing full of life, which was on the verge of demolition, I resolved to preserve its soul—the four adobe walls that carry the memories of time, using them as the foundation to build a bridge for dialogue across time and space.

In the renovation, I adopted a "wrapping" design: retaining the origi-nal texture of the old walls, the new walls are made of straw and yel-low mud to continue the texture; the floor is paved with handcrafted vintage wood-patterned tiles, and the roof is reconstructed with mod-ern materials; the low door is dismantled and reused as wall decora-tion, and a real fireplaces injects warmth and vitality. The indoor modern space forms a strong echo with the mottled old walls, and the backyard is adjacent to the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, allowing nature, humanity and history to blend deeply here.

"Nostalgic Courtyard" is not only a residence, but also a living car-rier of history, making "nostalgia" a lifestyle with warmth and atti-tude.
