This project is situated in Taizhou, a "City of Mountains and Seas," an ecological sanctuary that enjoys the unique advantages of its stunning natural setting. Adjacent to Central Hill Park with excellent resources and transportation, it offers a rare opportunity for natural urban living.
Under the design theme "A Container Folded by Time," it redefines "Wabi-Sabi," elevating it from a niche aesthetic to a "spiritual luxury," aiming to create a haven for spiritual healing for high-end clients seeking an authentic lifestyle. The design eschews ornate decoration, allowing space to become the narrative vehicle. The interior architecture employs an earth-toned palette of micro-cement and wood, creating a warm and serene atmosphere.
The design strategy utilizes light as a brush, blank space as a canvas, and traces to convey emotion. Furniture features restrained forms and a valued patina of age; textiles present a primitive dialogue between linen and fur; and accessories express abstract art through the beauty of incompleteness. The space strikes a balance between rustic intellect and earthly warmth, ultimately achieving the "perfection of imperfection" and conveying a philosophy of tranquil dwelling—"Enjoying the montane elements, freely empty in tranquility."
