Nuo opera, hailed as a “living fossil” of Chinese theatre, preserves rich religious and artistic legacies. This project distills its essence by fashioning indispensable masks around Taoist-imbued protagonists, then re-skinning them in cyber-punk palettes. The juxtaposition of archaic iconography and neon futurism forges a vivid ancient-mod dialogue, inviting digitally native audiences to touch, wear and perpetuate the tradition.
