This art installation was specially created for Haohai Biotech for the 15th Anniversary Art Exhibition of the World Design Capital Congress (WDCC) held in Shanghai. Titled “Cellular Renaissance,” it demonstrates the company’s expertise in regenerative medicine and material science. By combining forms inspired by molecular structures, a breathing light system, and an interactive projection system, the installation creates a tangible “cellular energy field.” It translates molecular-level breakthroughs in life restoration into a visually immersive experience, allowing viewers to see how science can reshape the beauty of life with both precision and elegance.
The work draws inspiration from (Big Dumb Object) BDO aesthetics and the molecular structure of cells. Sixteen transparent spheres, connected by metal rods, form a “cell network,” symbolizing the flow and resonance of life energy. At the base, three semi-circular spheres showcase the company’s three core devices in physical form, highlighting the company’s technological capabilities. In the middle section, four spheres employ holographic projections to vividly present three major product series close to everyday life, constructing a complete narrative that connects advanced technologies with real-life applications.
The installation innovatively combines advanced digital art with breathing light, synchronizing light with music to vividly depict the dynamic process of cellular repair. Interactive floor projections turn visitors’ footsteps into rippling patterns of light, together forming a dynamic theater of life in motion. By blending technology and art, the work transforms abstract scientific concepts into an engaging, warm experience, completing the narrative transition from laboratory to the art exhibition.
