TASTY CLASS is a forward-looking speculative design work that focuses on the future scenario of taste deterioration caused by global warming in 2125. It takes wearable devices as the carrier and constructs an innovative exploration of taste reconstruction.

In the background setting, global warming degrades the flavor compounds of crops, and umami, saltiness, and sweetness become mere memories. Humans face the dual loss of taste and nutritional perception. Based on neuroplasticity research, the work develops a wrist-worn wearable device that activates corresponding taste nerves through low-frequency electrical stimulation. Combined with a multi-sensory synergistic "electrical stimulation + scene" experience, it helps participants reconstruct taste perception and regain the ability to savor food.

From the design perspective, the work integrates background research (the harm of global warming to crops, cases of flavor loss), future worldview construction (the social landscape after taste deterioration in 2125), taste reconstruction courses (a six-step experience process), product design (the structure and function of head-mounted wearable devices), and other sections. With rigorous research, innovative technology application, and a complete scene narrative, it presents a profound reflection on the future human diet experience. It is both a warning about environmental issues and a pioneering exploration of technology-enabled sensory repair.
