About The Entry

Echo Mask is a sustainable and emotionally intelligent design for burn rehabilitation.

Traditional burn masks require repeated customization and replacement, resulting in high costs and waste. Echo Mask introduces a universal-fit medical base that accompanies the patient throughout recovery, while its magnetically attachable outer shells allow for easy personalization and expression.

Each outer shell can be replaced or customized in patten, transforming the mask from a clinical object into a medium of self-expression. The magnetic system enables users to interact with their mask—changing its appearance as a reflection of mood, identity, or progress.

The name “Echo” symbolizes the patient’s dialogue with the world—a return of confidence, the echo of self-recognition, and the resonance of being seen again.

Through simple, sustainable engineering and human-centered design, Echo Mask protects not only the healing skin but also the inner voice that deserves to be heard.
