The Mobile Exhibitions in Liugdui Schools, planned by the Taiwan Hakka Culture Development Center, was the first to focus primarily on children as the main audience. Using Chung Li-ho’s short story “My Grandma from the Mountains” as its core text, the project responded to ethnic issues through themes of family affection. Its central value was to promote cultural identity and inclusivity, enabling children in Taiwan’s multicultural society to learn respect and understanding through story.

Presented as mobile exhibits touring schools, the exhibition included a picture-book animation box, interactive triangle window, audiovisual game console, and a co-creation display vehicle, transforming literature into an experience that could be seen, heard, and touched.

The premiere at Longdu Elementary School engaged the entire student body, with works ranging from costume memory projects and choral singing to Hakka-language drama and murals, differentiated by grade. After one and a half years of preparation, the project launched with press events at the Liugdui Cultural Park and school, attracting over sixty schools to observe. Children responded that it was “fun and understandable,” teachers affirmed its curricular integration, and parents saw the extension of both ethnic and familial values.
