This renovation project breathes new life into a house that boasts over 40 years of history. The team has skillfully transformed the space into a delightful sugar cookie studio, taking great care to preserve the charming red brick walls. By meticulously removing the cement, the design team has uncovered the original texture of the home, showcasing its rustic character. To enhance the atmosphere further, the designer incorporates expansive windows that invite natural light to cascade freely into the interior, creating an inviting ambiance. Moreover, the open-plan kitchen, complete with a central island workstation, has been thoughtfully designed to seamlessly blend work, relaxation, and family interactions. As a result, this multifunctional living space exudes warmth and versatility, where laughter and the sweet aroma of baking beautifully intertwine, making it a perfect hub for creativity and connection.



The first floor of the public area stands as the vibrant heart of both work and family life, designed to foster connection and creativity. At its center lies an open-plan island bar, a multifunctional space that seamlessly integrates cookie-making, meal preparation, and interactive moments for parents and children alike. The team decided to retain the exposed red bricks after stripping away the cement from the walls, creating a striking visual that showcases the texture and character that only time can impart. Bright and inviting, the street-facing facade boasts large windows, allowing natural light to pour in while offering delightful views of the bustling street beyond. This thoughtful design enhances the overall atmosphere of relaxation and comfort within the home. The living room becomes an inviting oasis, equipped with a swing, a TV, and a cozy sofa that together create a central hub for leisure and connection. Furthermore, a charming reading nook is thoughtfully positioned by the window, adorned with stylish high-back chairs and suspended lighting, which serve to balance both illumination and flexibility in use.
