“Econourish Insecta” is a speculativebiomimetic device inspired by the pitcher plant and Venus flytrap, designed to address insect-borne diseases and protein shortages in tropical regions. In response to the rising threat of diseases and increasing protein demand, the device captures disease-carrying insects and converts them into edible, high-protein nutrients. By reducing disease transmission and providing a sustainable protein source, Econourish Insecta improves both public health and nutrition while promoting environmental sustainability.
