Tiramisu with jazz

Tiramisu with jazz by KIRIN+LAB is a residential interior design inspired by Tiramisu and jazz music, blending low-key luxury with layers of elegance. The design concept " Tiramisu with jazz" is inspired by the layers of colours, textures and flavours in Tiramisu and the soulful vibes of jazz music. The space achieves a low-key luxury style without traditional gold or bronze elements, opting instead for a blend of travertine, dark coffee-colored wood, and textured cream paint to create refined layers of aesthetic. The integration of a new tech sound system with a Turntable adds an additional dimension to the space, on top of the visual enjoyment provided by the essence of Tiramisu through creamy hues and rich coffee tone wooden furniture.

The design concept seamlessly integrates the client's passion for jazz music and essence of Tiramisu into spatial design. The client looked for a space that is clean and elegant with lots of storage space. Due to the demand of massive storage, the cabinets form a significant part of the spatial design. A tailor-made, unique colour Oak wood veneer was used in the custom-made furniture with a specific tint of brown plus matt finish to reflect the essence of Tiramisu’s cocoa powder coating. The tailor-made Oak wood carpentry is accompanied by creamy colour Travertine stone forming another layer of texture in space. Each stone was picked personally by us to ensure all stones have the same consistent texture and colour. Another design highlight is the gallery-like corridor that transits the space from darker coffee tone into creamy light beige bedroom area. At the lower edge of wall, line of floor lamps were installed to give an essence mood lighting mood, with a feature goldleaf painting at the end. The jazz/ study room is the darkest tone of brown among the whole residence. Matt black, brown oak wood veneer and a darker tone beige wall paint is used to create this sophisticated, nostalgic mancave immersed in the world of jazz.

This design harmoniously combines luxury, subtlety and nostalgia, celebrating fusion of flavours, melodies and textures.
