Moonu: Turning bedtime delays into steady progress for ADHD

Over 80% of adults with ADHD struggle to establish and maintain consistent bedtime routines — and it’s not just about willpower. Nighttime brings ADHDers with unique challenges: routines feel repetitive and easy to forget, the urge to reclaim “me time” kicks in, and racing thoughts make it hard to wind down — all leading to delayed sleep. Traditional productivity apps, with rigid task lists and strict reminders, often intensify these struggles, can unintentionally amplify these challenges. Moonu offers a refreshing alternative — a calming, interactive app designed to support users in building sustainable nighttime habits with empathy and encouragement.

Currently in development and testing with real users, Moonu features a friendly cartoon moon companion that gently guides users through personalized bedtime routines. The app blends soothing visuals, adaptive task flows, and a light reward system to turn nightly routines into a stress-free form of self-care. Gentle reminders and ADHD-friendly design principles ensure users feel supported — not judged — as they build habits, one small step at a time.

Beyond helping individuals, Moonu is also working to create a positive impact on the community. We plan to collaborate with NGOs to build a meaningful reward system — for instance, when users maintain a 100-day streak, Moonu will donate to a charity on their behalf. This unique initiative reflects our belief that small, consistent actions not only improve personal well-being but can also contribute to a larger good.

Rooted in behavioral psychology and driven by a mission to empower, Moonu is more than just an app — it’s a kind companion helping users transform bedtime into a healthier, happier part of life.
