Banban's Smart Reading Pen

As a reading pen designed for children aged 0-3 years, we have taken into consideration the physiological and behavioral characteristics of young children, focusing more on safety and practicality in our design and research.



We intentionally made the pen thicker and shorter. Given young children's tendency to chew on objects, such a design effectively prevents the potential choking hazard posed by the slender body of traditional reading pens. Choking incidents can lead to irreversible consequences.



We have specially designed silicone grips at the front and back, along with silicone tactile antennas, ensuring that even if chewed on, there are no safety risks.



The reading pen offers two ways to hold it: by gripping the tail end or the body of the pen. The tail end is made of soft silicone, which feels comfortable to hold, ensuring that even babies of just a few months old can firmly grip the reading pen in their hands. This design effectively guides the transition from palmar grasp to holding the pen by its body.



Instead of using ordinary indicator lights, we opted for an interesting light prompt designed as an astronaut's back light. It displays a clear white light when turned on, and a red light to indicate a malfunction or low battery.



Considering young children's tendency to drop and throw objects, we selected durable and high-quality ABS material, making it highly resistant to impact while also providing a certain level of protection for the child.



We firmly believe that with this reading pen, we can offer young children a safe, enjoyable, and educationally meaningful learning tool. It is designed to accompany them through their happy developmental stages, inspiring their boundless imagination and exploration, and ensuring they have an interesting and joyful childhood.
