The Flux-Charger is an innovative ceiling-mounted EV charging service system designed to enhance space usage at EV charging stations and address the inefficiencies caused by extended charging times. The system features a centralized AC-to-DC module that supplies direct current (DC) to multiple chargers. These chargers are mounted on an overhead track and utilize wireless power transfer technology, eliminating the clutter of cables found in traditional ceiling-mounted charging systems. This design also removes the need for individual charging piles, as the chargers can move freely along the track to where they are needed. A key function of the accompanying app allows users to send a "handover" request to the previous user, requesting them to unlock the charging cable once their car has finished charging. This functionality minimizes wait times and overtime fees, thereby maximizing charging efficiency and overall utilization of the charging station.
