In Chinese culture, bamboo stands as a paragon of elegance, representing resilience, purity, and the harmonious balance between strength and grace.

BENBOO is a series of three lamps made by cutting and bending stock copper tubing. Each piece is crafted from a single copper tube, showcasing the inherent properties of the material and the craftsmanship involved in its creation. The tube laser cutting technique allows for precise cuts, creating thin joints that maintain the structural integrity of the tube while enabling complex shapes. This approach to malleability transforms the straight tube into dynamic forms that evoke the natural elegance of bamboo, celebrating both flexibility and strength. A handcrafted patina on the outer surface resembles bamboo cortex, while soft light filters through translucent beads, reminiscent of sunlight streaming through bamboo fibers.

The collection features a variety of forms all deriving from the same tube, exploring the design possibilities of the cutting and bending method used. The name "BENBOO," a fusion of "bend" and "bamboo," encapsulates this harmonious blend of function and form.
