This process transforms tradition into a new lexicon, rejuvenating and reintegrating it into the present, thereby offering people a renewed sense of cultural belonging. Through this project, they anchor their design in the Song Dynasty, seamlessly integrating the aesthetics of Song-era gardens into the spatial framework and circulation paths. They eschew mere symbolic replication, instead extracting elements through the modern material translation, capturing the essence without mimicking the form.

Thus, design is not so much conceived as a noun that defines a particular style, nor merely as an adjective that conjures a specific ambiance. Instead, we prefer to conceive of it as a "preposition." From a broad perspective, it not only embodies the intrinsic connection between cultural memory and the present but also represents a consideration of deconstruction between Eastern and Western elements. It is through space that new existences are nurtured, understood, and constructed. When the focus shifts to the interior, the "preposition" in design refers to the relationships between the interior and exterior of the site, the guidance between spatial functions and primary activities, and the organized layers formed through composition, color, and materiality.
