About The Entry

The absence of family bonds has become a typical social circumstances in a fast-paced city. To combat this, the Holiday House aims to reshape family relationships by creating a distinctive, relaxing holiday environment that helps people escape the hustle and bustle of city life and strengthens family bonds. Situated in a village surrounded by enchanting natural scenery, Holiday House adopts a two-storied structure arranged in a C-shaped spatial layout, giving a vibrant feel to the surroundings. It also forms a natural inner courtyard, where every inch of space exudes comfort and purity, allowing users to savor the holiday and get closer to nature.

In terms of the interior layout, the two-storied Holiday House is more suitable for a household. The entrance door and the hallway form a 45° angle, improving light transmittance. Notably, two living rooms better cater to the needs of detached spaces for parents and children. The small sunken living room fosters a more intimate atmosphere that brings people closer together. The main space on the first floor opens directly onto the courtyard, enhancing the sense of relaxation on holiday and encouraging meaningful family interactions. The dining room and barbecue area are positioned on the second floor. The family can prepare a brunch on the terrace thanks to the open dining room. Once the children have settled down, couples can enjoy a romantic moment together on the second floor. Between the dining room and the bedroom is a sliding folding door, which results in a private space when closed. In addition, there are two large terraces on each of these two floors, opening up more possibilities for people to interact with nature.

The building takes traditional Chinese red and blue as its main tone. Teak-tinged furnishings set off the blue-dyed wood veneer, accented with the application of traditional elements such as warm lighting and the fireplace, creating a soft and cozy ambiance.
