NASCANS

NASCANS is a leading student and kindergarten care with program to help children develop positive thinking habits, leadership skills and strength of character through structured and fun learning activities. The center’s vision “an Oasis between School and Home” expresses a sanctuary safe from trouble or difficulty that children may face at home or in school.



Located at Parkway Parade Mall on the eastern side of Singapore, the school is able to tap upon the bustling crowd of its nearby residential estate.



The spatial oasis is created though the imbued of a soft and tactile environment, which let the users feel at ease. The softness comes from the elimination of corners and introduction of curve elements, together with the use of matt and rhythmic textures. Hence the experience through the spaces is visually and materially easeful and fluid.



As children’s brains are known to be like sponges that absorbs everything going on around them, our immediate environment is the biggest influence affecting their emotions and train of thoughts. Our key direction is to create a spatial design that inspire children to be intuitive, to recognize patterns and to ideate thoughts that are emotionally meaningful yet functional.



The spatial experience aims to inspire young minds academically while nurturing a deeper level of emotional intuition. Colour palettes are controlled with a series of warm and muted tones of browns and greens, to enhance a sense of tranquility.
