Yunnan Tengchong GINCO Hotel

Yunnan Tengchong GINCO Hotel is located in a villa area on the Gaoligong Mountain, the original building is 4 semi-stacked villas overlooking the whole Tengchong city center with a great view. The project area is about 5000 square meters, and based on the client's request, we wanted to create a low-key and high-quality hot spring resort hotel in Tengchong, Yunnan.

The design theme of Yunnan Tengchong GINCO Hotel is inspired by Japanese Zen culture, and the use of simple materials combined with a low color palette creates a more calm interior space. In order to preserve the superior natural views of the surrounding nature, the interior of the space incorporates translucent window openings to draw one's attention to the endless beauty of the outdoor valleys, and to get closer to nature. Stylistically, the design favors the creation of an oriental atmosphere, applying the Japanese aesthetic concepts of yuken and wabi-sabi, and using volcanic rock, a specialty of Tengchong, Yunnan Province, as the main material to create the entire space. Dark gray natural volcanic rock, oak, plain cement, and paint are the main materials used in the space, and their soft textures create a sense of peace and serenity, creating a cozy atmosphere. Tengchong Maizi Ge Serenity Hot Spring Hotel in Yunnan was created with the aim of creating a high-quality resting environment through the variation of materials and artifacts, allowing each space to express its unique personality. The design combines the different characteristics of a private residence and a themed resort hotel, balancing commercial properties with personal leisure, vacation, healing, and retirement properties to provide visitors with peace of mind and a comfortable vacation space.
