Palacia is a dining chair that inspired by the shape of the beautiful decorated pillars in the Imperial Palace in China. It can be easily transported, considering it can be packed flat. It also can be assembled entirely tool free. The upholstery fabric represents the red wall built in the palace. The rigid and stiff outline portrays the divine atmosphere contained in the Forbidden City. The simplified design and neutral color birch plywood bring the modern feeling to incorporate with the historical background of the chair.
