2023 North Coast Light Festival

The annual "North Coast Light Festival" is dedicated to the North Coast of Taiwan, aiming to promote the new landscape of the North Coast through urban green aesthetics, and to build up the North Coast's unique events and its brand. The month-long event spans three exhibition zones, from Wanli to Jinshan, and features five "North Coast Light Festival" exhibitions based on the theme as well as the climate and topography of the North Coast. Combined with a spectacular fire dance performance, this year's event is themed 'Young Farmers' in collaboration with the Juming Museum. The newly introduced BBQ party, Wave Market, and "Eight North Coast Species by the Sea" local young farmers' sharing session provide a variety of forms and contents for the public to immerse themselves in the new trend of "North Coast Light Festival".

The project combines "light and shadow", "art", and "local landscape" to revitalize the nighttime economy of the region through projections and art installations and to demonstrate the power of art and young farmers. The project aims to spread the benefits of the event through the power of tide and fire to promote tourism and industrial development around the North Coast, with the goal of diversifying the activities year after year.
